Life Cycle Management Division (LMD)

Involves Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) to integrate an iterative process for assuring supportability of an acquisition system. Supportability is the degree of ease to which system design characteristics and planned logistics, resources, including logistics support elements, allow for the meeting of system availability and user wartime and peacetime requirements. LMD will systematically identify, produce, acquire, deliver, install, and upgrading logistics support capability requirements through the acquisition process for PEO EIS systems, subsystems, and equipment. This function includes the oversight, direction, and control of subordinate logistics offices and agencies through developing and issuing logistics policies and providing policy guidance; reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating performance (e.g., logistics systems reinvention and modernization).


Provides direct support to the U.S. Army and PdM Global Combat Support-Army in the Sustainment of GCSS-Army through its Life Cycle. Offers management of users’ roles and positions, their access to GCSS-Army, and authorizations for their retrieving the required organizational data to perform logistical sustainment tasks within GCSS-Army. Conducts root cause analysis of help desk tickets (HDTs) to determine the appropriate course of action required to resolve HDTs submitted. Supports the Army’s deployment and redeployment requirements by ensuring the deploying organizational home-station and deployment roles and positions are accurately matched with the approved, required relationships built. Validates newly identified roles and permissions’ requirements to ensure the correct roles and positions are established in GCSS-Army.
Offers direct support to the U.S. Army and PdM Global Combat Support-Army in the Sustainment of GCSS-Army throughout its Life Cycle. Provides sustainment of the hierarchical organizational structure that is defined by the Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE), the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and Defense Readiness Reporting System-Army (DRRS-A). Supports the Army’s deployment and redeployment requirements by ensuring the requirements for home station/ deployment/ redeployment organizational structure are property communicated and the structure is properly built. Oversees that proper Supply Support and Maintenance relationships are created in GCSS-Army. Ensures the Property Book Identifier (PBID) hierarchical structure accurately reports equipment on hand (EOH) and AMSS Readiness reporting is correctly reflected within GCSS-Army.
Provides direct support to the U.S. Army and PdM Global Combat Support-Army in the Sustainment of an Army ERP system throughout its life cycle. Supplies sustainment of master data in GCSS-Army ensuring synchronization of master data between GCSS-Army, AESIP and other trading partners. Directly supports Tier II master data cleanup on Serial Number Profiles (SNP) in GCSS-Army and items that impact Army Materiel Status System (AMSS), Maintenance Master Data File (MMDF), Material Management Information System (MMIS), Bill of Materials (BOM), System Number (SYSNO) and Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP). Monitors and analyzes master data in GCSS-Army while identifying anomalies. Establishes appropriate courses of action to address identified anomalies. Responsible for analyzing help desk tickets (HDTs) submitted to update serial number profiles and bill of materials, including Basic Issue Item (BII); Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE); Additional Authorization List (AAL); On Board Spare Listing (OBSL); Diagnostic Mandatory Parts List (DMPL); Unique Item Identifier (UII) and NATO Item Identification Number (NIIN) master data within GCSS-Army.
Provide direct support to Army and PdM Global Combat Support-Army in the Sustainment of an Army ERP system through its Life Cycle. Sustainment of the master data in GCSS-Army ensuring synchronization of master data between GCSS-Army, AESIP and other trading partners. Directly supports Tier II master data cleanup on SNP in GCSS-Army to items that impacts AMSS, MMDF, MMIS, BOM, SYSNO, and AOAP. Monitor and analyze master data in GCSS-Army identifying anomalies. Establish appropriate course of action to address identified anomalies. Responsible for analyzing HDTs submitted to update serial number profiles, build of material (BII, OCIE, AAL, OBSL, DMPL), UII, and NIIN master data with-in GCSS-Army.
Provides direct support to the Army, PM Global Combat Support-Army and Prime Contractor in the Sustainment of GCSS-Army through its Life Cycle. Responsible for providing both system and software technical support as well as upgrades to all customer within GCSS-Army for Client Hardware and Software. Responsible for assisting with new unit activation in support of hardware, quick force reaction team as needed in support of client infrastructure and GCSS-Army enablers. Maintain knowledge base, fielding documents for all hardware fielded, technical training bulletins and ensuring help desk tickets, when resolved, are documented with sufficient and correct verbiage along with appropriate documentation (training bulletins, work-arounds, EUM+ links, etc.).
Responsible for maintaining and managing assigned business area group incident management requests from the field with in the Help Desk System software. Responsible for ensuring all user submitted requests for support are captured accurately; assigned and/or reassigned, and apportioned and resolved appropriately. Responsible for maintaining knowledge base within the assigned business area while ensuring help desk when resolved, are documented with sufficient and correct verbiage along with appropriate documentation (training bulletins, work-arounds, EUM+ links, etc.) in order to support other customers with the same or similar questions/problems. Responsible for communicating with customers as required, ensuring provided guidance is clear, understood and executed to customer satisfaction and validate resolution. Business Area Groups are: Retail Supply, Material Management, Property Accountability, Unit Supply, Plant Maintenance, Finance, and Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse
Provides direct support to the Army, PdM Global Combat Support-Army and Prime Contractor in the Sustainment of GCSS-Army throughout its Life Cycle. Responsible for developing and delivering training products for all three Army Components (COMPOS) across all business areas within GCSS-Army. Participates in the design and structuring of Interactive Multimedia Instructional products for online delivery. Training staff answer training mailbox queries, research answers, and provide clear summary responses. Translates GCSS-Army system changes into training objects within a short period. Provides logistics management expertise on an as-required basis.
Responsible for providing 24-hour support, 7 days a week for 365 days a year. Responds to customer-submitted incidents via phone, email, or through GCSS-Army’s automated Help Desk System. Maintains Help Desk Metrics and generates trend reports when required. Provides early triage of customer incidents and provides guidance to customers on issues that require additional instruction and understanding to implement. Responsible for ensuring that all incidents determined to be “non-guidance” in nature are immediately elevated from Tier 1 to Tier 2. Provides customer incident support at all three tiers of GCSS-Army Help Desk.
